Job Summary
Miller Electric-The VDC Planner is responsible for the planning, layout, design, and coordination of assigned projects. They can rely upon their extensive level of electrical knowledge in the construction field.

Planning, layout, and design of electrical installations This person has a thorough knowledge of electrical systems, construction documents, and quality construction work practices Seeks ways to infuse quality and labor savings into overall layout efforts Works with the Project Coordinator via VDC Planner Production Supervisor's appointment. Review Construction Documents (Drawings and Specifications) notes, list what is important from a VDC viewpoint on the PLD Dashboard. Aids in the creation of detailed bill of materials for the Inwall Task only. Plan and lay out work for modeler's use. Develop a 2D document plan based on specs, drawing notes, design drawings and all applicable codes for the modeler to create a digital model while instituting (QA) parameters. Maintain regular contact with the Project Personnel and collaborate project requirements. Aids in the creation of detailed bill of materials for the Inwall Task only. Performs other duties as assigned by management. Tools used:
SOP Bluebeam Microsoft 365 Autodesk Cloud Navisworks BIM Execution Plans Various Other Software Qualifications
Licensed journeyman with 1-3 years of running work on construction jobsite Demonstrates a willingness to learn and efficiently use software such as Bluebeam and Microsoft 365 Experience with team collaboration Demonstrates problem-solving ability and can work under rigorous schedules Demonstrates organizational and communication skills Proficient in reading and understanding of all forms of construction documents Ability to interpret 2D plans and provide input to a 3D model A commitment to continued learning and development Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
