Are you detail-oriented and organized? We are hiring a Shipping Clerk for our San Jose, California location. In this role, you will be responsible for managing outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy, and preparing documentation for logistics. Your diligence will be key to ensuring our customers receive their orders correctly and on time. You will work closely with the warehouse team to coordinate the flow of goods and maintain efficient operations. A focus on Safety and accuracy is paramount.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare shipping labels and documentation for all outgoing packages.
- Verify package contents against shipping orders to ensure accuracy.
- Coordinate with carriers for pick-up and delivery schedules.
- Load and unload shipments as needed, potentially involving manual Lifting.
- Maintain organized records of all shipments processed.
- Communicate with warehouse staff and management regarding shipping statuses.
- Ensure all packages meet carrier requirements and company standards.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations and company policies, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Inspect outbound shipments for damage or errors before dispatch.
- Assist with inventory management and stock counts as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or a related logistics role is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and basic computer applications.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring physical exertion, including occasional Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse Safety procedures.
- Willingness to wear required PPE at all times.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
