Join our dynamic team as a Shipping & Receiving Associate in Sacramento! You will be responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of inbound and outbound shipments, playing a key role in our supply chain and logistics operations. This position requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to workplace safety . You'll be handling a variety of products, ensuring they are accurately documented, stored, and dispatched.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for damage or discrepancies.
- Verify quantities and types of goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing shipments according to order specifications.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely (certification may be required).
- Maintain accurate inventory records and update the system accordingly.
- Ensure proper use of PPE at all times, including gloves and safety shoes.
- Assist with general warehouse duties, including organizing and maintaining a clean workspace.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members regarding shipment status.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures, especially regarding proper lifting techniques.
- Support the efficient flow of goods within the warehouse to meet logistics targets.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a shipping or receiving role is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 60 lbs.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills for inventory tracking.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE .
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain processes is a plus.
