The Wedding Coordinator is responsible for supporting Sales Manager(s) in ensuring successful events and transactions. The role prepares and/or oversees contracts and RFP/RFI responses for potential couples. Activities include wedding tours, corporate events and sales, along with billing coordination. Coordination of weddings, corporate events and all other functions throughout the year ensuring continued growth of the event market Attends/participates in applicable internal meetings, wedding fairs, trade shows and such, so as to stay up to date on market Facilitate site visits with prospective clients as well as pre-event reviews Facilitate wedding rehearsals and ceremonies Ensure all functions/bookings are booked to client requests Cultivate strong relationships with others by responding and resolving matters promptly. Sustain a "can-do" attitude, with no task too great or too small. Other duties as may be assigned Outstanding attention to detail, organization, decision making and analytical skills Self-starter, innovator, results-driven with ability to meet short and long term business goals Ability to manage time well, meet imposed deadlines and ability to work flexible hours Innovative and change driven with a high sense of urgency. Proven problem solving skills with ability to maintain composure in stressful situations. This position requires the ability to stand, and, walk, 7 to 8 hours at a time, climb stairs, reach, and bend. Required to work on weekends/evenings The position may also require the ability to lift over 25 pounds occasionally. At least two (2) three (3) years in sales, guest service or event planning Hospitality and/or exec support experience highly preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, the Internet, and email.
