JOB SUMMARY
The Data Analyst is a member of the Information Technology Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse team. This individual will collaborate and work jointly with the Business Intelligence user community and Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse technical teams including ETL developers and Business Intelligence administrators. Responsible for the requirements gathering in the form of user stories, functional requirements, data mapping documentation and validation of resulting solutions. This individual understands business needs for data analytics and reporting and ensures there is communication between business and technology to provide the right solution. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Supports and partners with business users to understand/define their business reporting and analytic needs and align Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence solutions to meet those needs. Contributes to all phases of system delivery, including requirements, design, development, training, data conversion, testing and maintenance to achieve the successful development and implementation of the customers business need. Work within the Enterprise Data Warehouse delivery team which includes architects, developers and BI administrators to implement, test and roll-out Data Warehouse projects and enhancements in an agile environment. Independently create deliverables such as business and functional requirements and supporting data mapping documentation that are easily understood, thorough, and accurate. Works closely with other IT teams and subject matter experts regarding source system applications to better understand the business purpose and data content utilized downstream in the Data Warehouse. Works closely Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse experts (such as ETL architects, ETL developers, Business Objects and Tableau admins, etc) to ensure the optimization of each the Business Intelligence solution. Coordinate input from users and the delivery team to create solution options that balance business value, usability, and technical feasibility. Develop and implement test cases for use in system and integration testing. Responsible for quality assurance for Data Warehouse projects and enhancements to ensure that Data Warehouse provides reliable data. Responsible for investigation, diagnosis, and resolution of data quality issues reported by the business. Ability to communicate technical information in a business-friendly manner. Identify and build trusted relationships with stakeholders and end-users. Understand their roles and tailor communication to meet their needs. Proactively manage their expectations by providing support and incorporating feedback. Provides a user-focused approach to all ideas and decisions. Advocates for the user community through understanding of their roles, responsibilities and reporting.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
2-3 years experience as a Data Analyst or similar role 4-year college degree, or equivalent experience, preferably in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Information Management, or related discipline. Analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy Ability to QA and troubleshoot data issues found in Data Warehouses Excellent verbal and written communication skills required to present and communicate data results Strong customer service skills and passion to work through obstacles to produce results Experience with SQL for data analysis within relational databases Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Ability to multi-task and manage workload for multiple projects, able to meet target completion dates Knowledge of reporting and data visualization tools (+) Understanding of data warehousing and ELT/ETL techniques (+) Experience with data models (+)
Note:
This is a full-time, W2 position with Hub Group We are NOT able to provide sponsorship at this time Salary : Up to $65,700 base salary + bonus eligibility This is an estimated range based on the circumstances at the time of posting, however, may change based on a combination of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, education, market factors, geographical location, budget, and demand Benefits
