Quintrix is on the lookout for professionals who are open to upskill to the exciting world of Data Engineering. This opportunity is for our direct client in Banking/financial Services and includes a 4 week online pre-employment training program (15 hours per week), conveniently scheduled after business hours. Participants who successfully complete the program will receive a $500 stipend. This is a fantastic chance to gain in demand skills, hands-on experience, and a pathway into a dynamic tech role. Job Title: Junior Data Engineer Duration: 12-15 months (Possibilities of extension) W2 candidates only Key Responsibilities: Design and develop ETL/ELT workflows and data pipelines for batch and real-time processing. Build and maintain data pipelines for reporting and downstream applications using open-source frameworks and cloud technologies. Implement operational and analytical data stores leveraging Delta Lake and modern database concepts. Optimize data structures for performance and scalability across large datasets. Collaborate with architects and engineering teams to ensure alignment with target state architecture. Apply best practices for data governance, lineage tracking, and metadata management. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in data pipelines and ensure high availability and reliability.
Prerequisites:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related fields. 0-1 year experience Python, Pyspark, SQL, etc. Familiar with ETL/ELT concepts and database concepts. Knowledge of CI/CD for data engineering. Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn. Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Selection Process & Training:
Online assessment and technical interview by Quintrix. 4 weeks of pre-employment online instructor-led training.
