Join our thriving logistics operation in Kansas City, Missouri, as an Order Picker. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient retrieval of items from our warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This is a physically demanding position that requires attention to detail, speed, and a strong commitment to safety. You will utilize scanning technology to locate products and ensure that the correct items and quantities are picked. Your efficiency directly impacts order fulfillment times and customer satisfaction. We are looking for dedicated individuals who can work well independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. We provide thorough training and emphasize the importance of proper PPE usage and safe Lifting techniques.
Responsibilities:
- Locate and retrieve products from warehouse bins and shelves based on order lists or scanner data.
- Verify product codes and quantities against order requirements.
- Transport picked items to the packing or staging area.
- Maintain accurate inventory by scanning items in and out of locations.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and orderly warehouse environment.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations and guidelines to prevent accidents.
- Use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) correctly.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or equipment issues to supervisors.
- Meet established performance metrics for picking accuracy and speed.
- Practice safe Lifting techniques and seek assistance when handling heavy items.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a similar warehouse role is beneficial.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists or operate a scanning device.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift for extended periods.
- Capability to Lift up to 45 lbs regularly.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics setting.
- Commitment to following safety protocols and wearing PPE.
