We are seeking a friendly and customer-focused Counter Sales Associate to join our team in our Columbia branch. As a Counter Sales Associate, you will be the face of our company, providing exceptional service to our valued customers and ensuring a positive shopping experience. Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries and purchases Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process transactions accurately and efficiently Maintain a clean and organized sales counter area Demonstrate in-depth product knowledge to help customers make informed decisions Handle credit cards, and other payment methods with precision Resolve customer concerns and complaints in a professional and empathetic manner Restock merchandise and assist with inventory management Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive shopping environment Adhere to company policies and procedures to ensure smooth operations Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent Previous retail or customer service experience preferred Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively Strong math skills for accurate transaction processing Proficiency in operating Point of Sale (POS) systems In-depth product knowledge or the ability to quickly learn about our product line Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly and supportive attitude Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask efficiently Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds Basic computer skills and attention to detail Team player with a collaborative mindset Assist in warehouse when needed for shipping & receiving when volume is high. Regular Attendance & Punctuality are vital to succeed. Be willing to become forklift certified. Preferred Skills: 5+ years in customer service. HVAC knowledge a plus. Forklift experience a plus (Will Train) Additional Information
