Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. About the Role:
The Data & Business Intelligence (BI) Development Manager provides leadership for Hastings' Data, BI, ETL, and Analytics functions. This role is responsible for guiding strategy and execution across data architecture, data delivery, and reporting solutions while ensuring alignment with business priorities, governance standards, and cost-effective technology use. You will lead teams that design, build, and maintain scalable data solutions that support informed decision-making across the organization. What You'll Do: Lead and develop Data, BI, and ETL teams, including staffing, performance management, coaching, and professional growth. Create a collaborative, inclusive team environment that values quality, customer focus, creativity, and efficiency. Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of BI and data warehousing solutions aligned to enterprise architecture standards. Partner closely with IT engineering, architecture, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver integrated data solutions. Ensure adherence to data governance policies through strong collaboration with data owners and process leaders. Promote adoption and effective use of BI tools and data solutions across the organization. Develop and manage maintenance schedules for BI platforms and data warehouse systems. Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that support corporate goals and cost containment. Support vendor evaluations, contract negotiations, and management of third-party data service providers. Stay informed on trends impacting Property and Casualty insurers and their data needs. What You'll Bring: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 10+ years of experience supporting data analysis initiatives or business data flow projects. Strong understanding of Property and Casualty insurance operations and information needs. Demonstrated expertise in ETL design, development, and implementation. Working knowledge of project phases and general project management concepts. Experience across multiple computing environments including mainframe, client-server, and internet-based platforms. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools. Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and operate effectively in complex, time-sensitive environments. About Us:
