WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
Operations and Event Management- Work closely with Live Nation promoters and operations and provide direction on standards and compliance
- Manage day-to-day operations of all venue vendors/subcontractors (HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Landscaping, Cleaning, Security, Trash/Recycling)
- Advance each show with tour security directors and fulfill tour security requirements
- Be on site for each event prior to load-in and until load-out
- Coordinate and facilitate event set-up with operations
- Coordinate day-of-event activities and matters
- Identify and maximize revenue drivers while optimizing the overall guest and artist experience
- Collaborate with Marketing, Premium Seat Sales, Food and Beverage team, and Sponsorship to create innovative offerings that drive incremental revenue growth, fan and partner engagement, and profitability
- Oversee food and beverage and merchandise performance and strategies (point of sale ratio, variety, etc.)
- Manage overall expenses of concerts to maximize profits while protecting the guest and artist experience
- Promote and establish rental events in the venue
- Hire, train, and schedule full and part-time employees, and work closely with all subcontractors and third-party vendors
- Supervise several exempt and non-exempt positions
- Monitor and review employee performance accordingly
- Manage employee attendance records for all employees
- Ensure responsible staffing levels and budget targets for each event
- Establish and maintain high standards of customer service for staff, customers, and vendors
- Perform and execute the successful settlement of events
- Perform and execute timely Flash Reports after events
- Generate the Operations costs flash report following each event
- Forecast in ROME operational and production expenses, as well as ancillary revenue streams
- Implement and comply with the company's audit procedures
- Maintain excellent working knowledge of Health & Safety regulations
- Work closely with key civic governmental departments and interact with the community in general
- Work with all other departments to help fulfill needed requirements
- Other duties as assigned by executive management
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
Experience & Knowledge
- Minimum 5 years experience as a general manager or operations manager in a hospitality-related business
- Proven track record managing large-scale live events, vendor relationships, and subcontractor agreements
- Must have extensive background in event sales and promotion
- Proficiency with event settlement processes, and Health & Safety regulations
Financial & Analytical Skills
- Must have expertise in profitability analysis and budgeting
- Strong ability to forecast operational expenses, identify revenue opportunities, and control costs
- Proven ability to maximize profitability while meeting budget targets
Leadership & Communication
- Requires excellent communication skills, both verbally and written
- Ability to hire, train, develop, and retain high-performing teams
- Strong collaboration across departments and with government officials, community stakeholders, and tour personnel
Problem-Solving & Execution
- Exhibits strong problem-solving skills in both long-term and immediate situations
- Strong organizational skills with ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible schedule with ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as events require
