Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for logistics? Our San Francisco, California office is seeking a Shipping Clerk to manage the outbound flow of our products. The Shipping Clerk will be responsible for preparing shipping documents, coordinating with carriers, ensuring accurate packing and labeling, and tracking shipments to their destination. This role requires excellent organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of shipping procedures. You will play a critical role in ensuring our customers receive their orders correctly and on time. Responsibilities:
- Prepare bills of lading, shipping orders, and other shipping documentation.
- Coordinate with freight carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Verify that all outgoing shipments are accurate and properly labeled.
- Ensure packages are prepared according to carrier requirements and company standards.
- Track shipments and provide updates on delivery status.
- Communicate with customers and internal departments regarding shipping inquiries.
- Maintain organized shipping records and files.
- Assist in receiving incoming shipments as needed.
- Uphold all safety regulations and ensure proper use of PPE in the shipping area.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and accuracy of our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar logistics role.
- Proficiency in shipping software and standard office applications.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally.
- Knowledge of shipping procedures, documentation, and carrier requirements.
- Understanding of warehouse safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
