Broken Bow, OK $20.00$21.60 per hour 2nd Shift | Monday - Friday 2:00PM - 10:00PM Are you interested in contributing to a company whose mission is to radically love and influence lives? As a Mobile Equipment Operator for Bell Lumber and Pole, you will play a pivotal role in our Broken Bow, OK yard by safely handling raw materials and finished products in a dynamic outdoor environment. If you are skilled at operating heavy machinery and are a team player, this role is for you. Essential Job Duties: Have the ability to operate mobile equipment such as Log Loaders and Front End Loaders. Operate and maintain the following equipment: Log Loaders Front end loaders Forklifts Ability to understand written documents for proper handling of the customers products. Understand basic safe use of shop tools. Having the ability to maintain communication with co-workers concerning their operational needs. Achieve and maintain a basic understanding of how all the operating systems function/interact and independently perform effective trouble shooting during equipment malfunctions. Startup and shutdown of equipment. Learn to perform annual and other scheduled maintenance on equipment. Understand OSHA safety rules and work in compliance with the Bell Timber safety standards, policies, and procedures. Identify and report any and all unsafe working conditions. Ability to read and understand equipment startup procedures, operation procedures, shutdown procedures, and maintenance manuals. Perform all work in compliance with company standards and procedures. Job Qualifications: Education: High School Diploma or equivalent Experience: Experience operations in log handling including long poles helpful. Experience operating mobile equipment including log loaders & frontend loaders. Must be able to withstand extreme weather conditions; majority of the time will be working outside. Skills and Competencies: Experience as a Machine Operator Knowledge of Production Procedures Ability to Read Schematics and Manuals Analytical Skills Attention to Detail Teamwork Physical Stamina and Strength Handle Heavy Equipment Work Independently Multitask Work Environment/Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, reach with hands and arms and is occasionally required to walk, stand, hear, and to use hands to finger, handle or feel. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds or more. Specific vision abilities required by the job include peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus. The work environment characteristics are best defined as exposure to elements such as heat, cold, precipitation or toxic fumes. Employee will have steady exposure to noise as heard in a piece of mobile heavy equipment; at times noise levels will exceed safe working levels. Employee will have light exposure to the chemicals used in cleaning the plant. The job requires overtime. Bell Lumber & Pole is an equal opportunity employer.
