Duties

• Perform comprehensive grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and nail clipping tailored to each dog's breed and individual needs
• Handle dogs safely using animal restraint techniques and ensure their comfort throughout the grooming process
• Provide pet care by monitoring dogs' health during grooming, recognizing signs of distress or health issues, and communicating with pet owners about any concerns
• Maintain a clean and sanitized mobile grooming station, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly disinfected after each appointment
• Manage appointments efficiently by scheduling, confirming bookings, and maintaining accurate client records
• Offer exceptional customer service by addressing client questions, providing grooming advice, and ensuring a positive experience for both pets and owners
• Assist with pet handling during transportation and grooming procedures, demonstrating patience and compassion at all times

Experience

• Previous experience in pet grooming, dog handling, or animal care is essential; certification in pet grooming is highly desirable
• Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary experience enhances your ability to handle various breeds and temperaments effectively
• Familiarity with veterinary technician or veterinary assistant roles provides valuable insight into animal health monitoring
• Experience with animal restraint, pet sitting, kennel work, or equine handling demonstrates your versatility in animal care environments
• Strong customer service skills are necessary to build trust with clients and ensure repeat business
• Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to a specified weight) is required for handling equipment or transporting pets safely
