We are expanding our private practice located in Cos Cob and New Canaan. Essential Pediatrics is committed to collaborative and personalized pediatric care.

Your Role:

As an Fulltme/ Per diem Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in our practice. Outside of 1:1 treatment, there are opportunities to use your skills and knowledge in group sessions, parent training, blog writing, and interdisciplinary care.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough assessments and create tailored treatment plans for pediatric clients.
• Collaborate with team members and caregivers to design group therapy sessions, fostering social interaction and skill development.
• Lead parent trainings to empower caregivers with practical strategies for supporting their child's progress at home.
• Provide individual occupational therapy services, ensuring each child receives personalized attention and care.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Communicate with outside professionals to ensure personalized care.
• Complete daily documentation.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• State licensure and certification as an Occupational Therapist.
• Experience in pediatric settings is preferred, but new graduates with level II fieldwork in pediatrics and a passion for working with children are also welcome.
• Excellent time management, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Experience in Ayres Sensory Integration, DIR/Floortime, or NDT a plus.
