The Sales Associate is responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience by actively engaging shoppers, identifying their needs, and recommending appropriate products using Bee Well's Six Steps of the Sale. This role focuses on driving sales, maintaining store standards, and supporting daily operations while consistently representing the Bee Well brand in a professional and customer-first manner.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Customer Engagement
Sales Associates are expected to consistently apply the Six Steps of the Sale during every customer interaction:
1. Greet & Connect
Promptly acknowledge customers as they enter the store.
Create a welcoming, friendly first impression through positive body language and tone.
2. Discover Needs
Ask open-ended questions to understand customer goals, preferences, and concerns.
Actively listen and adapt recommendations based on customer feedback.
3. Educate & Recommend
Provide accurate product information, including benefits, usage, and differences between options.
Recommend products that align with customer needs using "Sell What's Available Today" principles.
4. Demonstrate Value
Clearly explain product value, benefits, and pricing.
Address customer questions or hesitations with confidence and clarity.
5. Close the Sale
Confidently ask for the sale and guide the customer toward a purchasing decision.
Suggest complementary products using cross-merchandising and adjacency strategies when appropriate.
6. Thank & Invite Back
Thank customers for their purchase and reinforce a positive experience.
- Invite customers to return and inform them of relevant promotions, loyalty programs, or future needs.
Complete daily operational tasks to ensure store readiness and efficiency.
Assist with restocking, merchandising, and maintaining proper product placement.
Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and visual presentation standards.
Follow inventory handling procedures and report low stock or discrepancies to management.
- Adhere to all safety, security, and loss prevention policies.
Support in-store promotions and marketing initiatives.
Stay informed on current sales, promotions, and product launches.
- Represent Bee Well's brand consistently in all customer interactions.
Contribute to a positive, respectful, and collaborative work environment.
Communicate customer feedback, product insights, and operational concerns to management.
- Follow company policies, procedures, and scheduling requirements.
Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
Strong communication and customer engagement skills.
Ability to apply structured selling techniques consistently.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform routine physical tasks.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Work in a dynamic, customer-facing retail environment.
