Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Infant Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for nurturing young children, fostering development, and creating a safe, engaging learning environment. This role offers an opportunity to lead classroom activities, develop curriculum, and support the growth of infants in a supportive educational setting. Candidates with a background in early childhood education, preschool experience, or Montessori methods are highly encouraged to apply.

Duties

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum tailored to infants' developmental stages, including literacy education and early intervention strategies
  • Lead daily classroom activities focused on social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of infants
  • Manage classroom environment to ensure safety, cleanliness, and organization in compliance with childcare standards
  • Observe and assess individual child progress, maintaining detailed records for developmental milestones and behavior management
  • Collaborate with parents and caregivers to communicate child progress and address individual needs effectively
  • Supervise and mentor assistant teachers or teaching staff to ensure high-quality care and educational standards
  • Incorporate Montessori or other specialized teaching methods to enhance learning experiences
  • Plan lesson activities that promote physical education, motor skills development, and early childhood education principles
  • Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations, health guidelines, and safety protocols related to childcare

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of childhood development, behavior management, and classroom management techniques
  • Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings
  • Proficiency in curriculum development, lesson planning, and literacy education for infants
  • Familiarity with special education needs, early intervention programs, and standardized testing procedures
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, staff, and community partners
  • Ability to lead classroom activities effectively while maintaining a nurturing environment
  • Experience working with students in various educational contexts such as tutoring or physical education is a plus
  • Knowledge of Montessori methods or other specialized early childhood teaching philosophies is desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to manage classroom dynamics and foster positive behavior among young children

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $24.95 per hour
