Schedule- MondayFriday, approximately 8:30 AM 4:30 PM
- Rotating Saturday shifts approximately once per month (9:00 AM 12:00 PM) at our Columbus location
We are seeking a dependable, patient-focused Medical Assistant to join our podiatry team at our Hilliard office. This full-time role supports providers in delivering high-quality foot and ankle care while ensuring an efficient, professional clinic experience. The ideal candidate is adaptable, team-oriented, and willing to assist across Central Ohio locations as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Room patients and obtain accurate vital signs and medical histories
- Prepare exam rooms, instruments, and supplies for podiatric procedures
- Assist providers during inoffice procedures and treatments
- Perform clinical tasks such as dressing changes, suture removal, and patient education (within scope of training)
- Accurately document patient interactions and clinical information in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Coordinate patient flow to maintain clinic efficiency and minimize wait times
- Clean and stock exam rooms in accordance with infection control standards
- Support front desk or administrative functions when needed
- Travel to other Central Ohio offices to provide coverage for calloffs, PTO, or staffing needs
- Medical Assistant certification or relevant clinical experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced clinical environment
- Reliable transportation and ability to commute to and from assigned work locations
- Willingness and ability to travel between Central Ohio offices as required for coverage
- Flexibility to work rotating Saturday shifts as scheduled
- Basic computer skills and comfort with EMR systems
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Ability to meet attendance, punctuality, and scheduling requirements
- Prior experience in podiatry, orthopedics, or a medical specialty practice
- Experience working in multiprovider or multilocation practices
- Bilingual abilities a plus
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds
- Manual dexterity for assisting with clinical procedures
- Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
- Consistent weekday schedule with limited Saturday rotation
