Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Flooring Estimator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in flooring systems (primarily in ceramic tile) and strong analytical skills to prepare accurate cost estimates. This role is critical in supporting project bidding, pricing accuracy, and cost control to ensure successful project execution. Skills or experience in countertops or cabinet estimating is a bonus.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate flooring estimates for commercial and/or residential projects, including material, labor, and equipment costs
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs using software such as Measure Square or similar
• Review drawings, specifications, and scope of work to identify project requirements
• Collaborate with project managers and vendors to ensure competitive and accurate pricing
• Maintain and update pricing databases for materials, labor, and subcontractors
• Assist with bid preparation, submission, and follow-up
• Support cost control efforts throughout the project lifecycle
• Maintain organized records of estimates, bids, and project documentation
• Participate in team meetings to review bids and discuss project strategies

Qualifications

• No college necessary
• Experience required as a Flooring Estimator or in a related construction estimating role
• Knowledge of flooring materials and systems (e.g., tile, epoxy etc.)
• Proficiency in a common estimating and takeoff software
• Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with project managers, vendors, and clients
• Attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and deadlines
• Negotiation experience with suppliers and subcontractors is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55, $130,000.00 per year
