Duties

• Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, and air brake systems using schematics and technical manuals.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and farm machinery to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and perform electrical repairs using automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues accurately.
• Service and repair industrial equipment such as HVAC units, shocks & struts, tires, wheel alignments, and other vehicle maintenance tasks.
• Operate heavy machinery safely during repairs or testing procedures while adhering to safety protocols.
• Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and document all repairs performed for accountability and quality assurance.

Experience

• Proven dealership experience or extensive mechanic background working with heavy equipment and diesel engines.
• Strong knowledge of automotive repair principles including transmissions, brake systems, hydraulics, electrical systems, and suspension components.
• Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques such as welding and assembly of mechanical parts.
• Familiarity with schematics for troubleshooting complex machinery systems effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to operate heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers, and farm machinery safely.
• Experience with automotive diagnostics tools and electrical troubleshooting methods.
• Ability to lift heavy components regularly while maintaining safety standards; familiarity with heavy lifting techniques is essential. Pay: $ $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 60.0 per week
