Primary Purpose:
The Production Manager is responsible for the overall performance, efficiency, and development of the production area, ensuring achievement of all relevant targets in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost & People. This includes managing operations, utilizing capacity effectively, and building a strong team to support both current/future business needs. The role drives continuous improvement, facilitates the implementation of new technologies/processes, and ensures compliance with company standards, legal requirements, and sustainability objectives, in close cooperation with local and global functions. This position reports directly to the Director, US Residential Manufacturing & Operations.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Accountable for overall performance, efficiency, and output of finished goods, components, and spare parts according to the production plan.
- Drives continuous improvement, operational excellence, and deployment of strategy processes within Production.
- Manages, develops, and trains the production team, ensuring the right competencies and effective people processes.
- Delivers on production KPIs and ensures compliance with HS&E and global standards.
- Implements lean tools and procedures (VOS) to minimize process variations and waste.
- Execute production-related aspects of the local PCO strategy in alignment with divisional direction.
- Participates in relevant production and functional networks to support knowledge sharing, standardization, and divisional alignment.
- Coordinates and collaborates with other departments (e.g., supply chain, maintenance, quality) to ensure smooth workflow and cross-functional alignment.
- Monitors production metrics, identifies areas for improvement, and implements corrective actions.
- Supports deployment of standards and operational excellence (including BPM/OE) on the shop floor, aligning production KPIs with divisional and global targets.
- Responsible for planning, preparing and maintaining annual budget and making sure their respective departments are meeting their goals and initiatives.
Monthly Salary Range: $9229 - $11,536
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree is required.
- Minimum of five (5) years applied experience in managing employees in a manufacturing environment is required.
- Applied experience in managing and developing work teams, conflict resolution, and employee performance appraisals is required.
- Applied computer skills are a must. Proficiency Microsoft Excel and Power Point is required. Previous experience in utilizing SAP is preferred.
- Experience in preparation and working with expense/capital budgets and strategic planning is required.
- Must possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written and strong interpersonal skills are required.
- Must be self-motivated and possess the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated leadership and collaboration skills. Must be able to work in a team environment with employees from various levels within the organization.
- The ability to operate in a matrix and networked organization while supporting divisional and functional alignment.
- Ability to perform the essential functions assigned to the position.
- Compliance with all rules of conduct, safety regulations and policies provided in Employee Handbooks, on Company bulletin boards/announcements, terms/conditions of employment or other means of communication is a requirement of the job.
