Advertised Job Summary

The Center for Healthcare Quality in the Arnold School of Public Health's Department of Health Promotion, Education, and Behavior at the University of South Carolina is seeking applicants for one research assistant professor position in the areas of health promotion and prevention sciences. The successful candidate will have an established research direction and strong potential for extramurally funded research and peer-reviewed publications.

Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience

  • Doctoral degree in public health, psychology, sociology, biostatistics, epidemiology, or another relevant field.

Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Applicants will be expected to have experience in quantitative research methodologies, advanced statistical modeling, development and evaluation of health promotion and prevention intervention trials.
  • Preferences will be given to applicants with previous research experience in utilization of statewide or nationwide data sources for health promotion research.

Develop and deliver high-quality presentations, manuscripts, and technical reports that communicate significant research outcomes in health promotion and disease prevention using statewide or nationwide data sources. Present findings at academic conferences and publish in peer-reviewed journals to advance the scientific knowledge base and strengthen the department's research profile.
