We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Production Supervisor to oversee the operations of our cold food manufacturing facility.
As a Production Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring efficient and effective production processes, maintaining quality standards, and fostering a safe working environment. You will be responsible for leading a team of production workers, coordinating production schedules, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality cold food products to meet customer demands.
The hours for this position are 1 pm to 10 pm
Compensation:
$58,000 - $60,000 yearly
Responsibilities:
- Supervise Production Operations: Lead and direct a team of production workers, including line operators, machine operators, and work closely with quality control and maintenance technicians, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety guidelines, and quality standards.
- Production Planning and Scheduling: Collaborate with production planners to create and implement production schedules that optimize resource utilization and meet production targets.
- Quality Control: Monitor and enforce quality control measures throughout the production process to ensure compliance with food safety regulations, product specifications, and customer requirements.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and implement measures to enhance operational efficiency, minimize waste, and maximize productivity.
- Training and Development: Train and develop production staff on proper operating procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards, ensuring a skilled and motivated workforce.
- Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate with maintenance personnel to schedule and perform routine maintenance on production equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal functionality.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure a safe working environment by promoting and enforcing safety policies and procedures, conducting regular safety inspections, and addressing any safety concerns promptly.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate production records, including production reports, inventory levels, and quality control documentation, and provide regular reports on production metrics to management.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrable leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control practices, and food safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse teams.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficient in using computer systems and software applications relevant to production and inventory management.
