BACE is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our innovative team within a dynamic manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in optimizing production processes, enhancing product quality, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply advanced engineering principles and cutting-edge technology to improve manufacturing operations and support the development of high-quality products. The Manufacturing Engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturing efficiency, safety, and compliance with industry standards.

Duties

  • Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for various products and assembly line operations.
  • Design and analyze schematics, and technical drawings using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other CAD tools.
  • Program and troubleshoot robotics, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and vision inspection systems to enhance automation and quality control.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for production issues, implementing corrective actions to resolve defects and reduce downtime.
  • Lead process engineering efforts by applying lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Manage project scheduling for new equipment installation, process upgrades, and facility expansions while coordinating with vendors and internal teams.
  • Oversee tooling fabrication, fabrication of fixtures, and mechanical assembly to ensure precision and adherence to specifications.
  • Develop technical documentation including schematics, process flow diagrams, GD&T specifications, and safety procedures.
  • Support factory experience initiatives by training staff on new equipment, processes, and safety protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards through rigorous process control and documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related field; advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
  • Proven experience in manufacturing environments with expertise in, robotics, GD&T, CAD (SolidWorks), and industrial equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of process engineering principles including lean manufacturing, continuous improvement strategies, tooling design, fabrication techniques, and assembly line optimization.
  • Proficiency in project scheduling tools and methodologies for managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis using structured problem-solving techniques.
  • Hands-on experience with robot programming, vision inspection systems, welding automation, and industrial schematics.
  • Mechanical knowledge of factory equipment including industrial machinery used in manufacturing facilities.
  • Familiarity with standards for quality management systems.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
