Duties

• Greet customers warmly and provide attentive, personalized service to meet their needs
• Assist customers with product selections, offering knowledgeable recommendations and demonstrations when appropriate
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
• Upsell additional products or services to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction
• Maintain attractive merchandise displays through merchandising and stocking efforts
• Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits of items
• Support inventory management by stocking shelves, organizing stockrooms, and conducting stock counts
• Handle phone inquiries professionally, providing information and directing calls as needed
• Apply basic math skills for accurate cash register operations and sales calculations
• Ensure adherence to store policies on cashiering, customer service standards, and safety procedures

Qualifications

• Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in retail stores or similar environments
• Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers; bilingual abilities are a plus
• Experience with POS systems, cash handling, and retail math techniques
• Supervising experience is advantageous for leadership opportunities or team support roles
• Demonstrated ability to perform product demos and upsell effectively in a fast-paced setting
• Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to handle inquiries professionally
• Knowledge of merchandising, stocking procedures, and store presentation standards
• Basic math proficiency for accurate transactions and inventory management
• Ability to work part-time hours flexibly, including evenings or weekends as needed
