Cook Inlet Region, Inc., also known as CIRI, is one of 12 land-based Alaska Native regional corporations created pursuant to the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA). Position Overview
The Organizational Change Manager is responsible for organizational readiness and deployment of transformation initiatives as defined by organizational goals and objectives. This position assists the customer with managing all aspects of change associated with the transformation of the organization to align with business processes, systems and technology changes, job roles and organizational structures. This includes oversight and leadership of all organizational change management project team activities.  The primary responsibility will be creating and implementing change management processes, strategies, and plans that maximize stakeholder adoption while minimizing resistance. The Change Manager will work with the program management team and organizational leaders to ensure adoption, utilization and proficiency of the changes that impact everyone in the organization to increase benefit realization and the achievement of results and outcomes.

Major Activities 

  • Design, develop and implement change management strategies and plans.
  • Supervise execution of activities related to change management and end user readiness.
  • Manage resolution of potential organizational obstacles.
  • Communicate and educate the user community on change initiative progress, objectives, and requirements to include a means by which to evaluate and ensure organizational readiness. 
  • Work with process teams to ensure new design elements are being appropriately communicated to the organization and effectively incorporated into end user training.
  • Perform/assess Stakeholder and change impact analysis identifying potential project impacts/risks.
  • Identify and anticipate organizational challenges and/or resistance; develop risk mitigation plan by completing change management assessments.
  • Spearhead initiatives to develop employees' understanding and acceptance of impacts on specific job roles, policies, technology impacts and business practices.
  • Manage change management activities in the OCM Roadmap.
  • Facilitate Change Management meetings, deliver presentations as required.
  • Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with the customer at multiple levels. 
  • Ensure timely and high-quality deliverables.
  • Assist with development of a detailed teamwork plan and integration of the Change Management plan into the overall project plan.
  • Identify, tracks, report and resolve issues. 
  • Provide regular updates to Program Manager and other Stakeholders as requested. 
  • Assess skills and attributions of Transition Team. 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to execute change management strategies and partner with organizational team leads in the design, development and implementation of plans. 
  • Possesses knowledge and experience in end-user training strategy.
  • Competent in diagnosing individual and organizational performance improvement needs, matching intervention methodology with needs and determining the appropriate development measures.
  • Strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas in easy-to-understand business terms to all levels of management including senior leaders.
  • Possess strong analytical skills, good listening skills with ability to effectively coach and mentor others; must be able to lead by influence. 

Required Qualifications

  • Must have at least an active Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree (Computer Science/Management preferred). In lieu of a degree, must have seven years of related work experience.
  • Five or more years' experience with medium-to-high complexity change management projects.
  • Project management experience with demonstrated experience in computer-based tools used for project management. 
  • PMP or Industry-Approved Certification.
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully leading the design and implementation of Change Management strategies in support of IT programs/projects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Scrum Master Certification
