Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Infusion Nurse to join our dynamic team, delivering specialized infusion therapies to both pediatric and adult patients. This role is critical in ensuring safe, effective administration of IVIG, and specialty medications across various home settings.
We are especially looking for nurses with proven experience in port-a-cath access and maintenance, who are comfortable working with children and families in the home environment.
Responsibilities
- Administer intravenous (IV) infusions, medications, and fluids accurately following physician orders and established protocols.
- Assess patient condition through vital signs, physical examinations, and comprehensive assessments to determine appropriate infusion plans.
- Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control standards during all procedures.
- Educate patients and their families on infusion treatments, medication management, and post-infusion care instructions.
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions or complications, responding promptly with appropriate interventions.
- Document all procedures, assessments, and patient responses thoroughly.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, pharmacists, and case managers to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
Requirements
- Valid nursing license (RN) with current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Government-issued photo ID (driver's license or equivalent).
- Proof of personal auto liability insurance
- Proven experience in IV infusion administration with strong knowledge of aseptic technique and venipuncture skills, preferably withport-a-cath access.
- Experience working in diverse clinical settings including hospital medicine, outpatient clinics, home care, or long-term care facilities.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation related to infusion therapy.
- Ability to perform patient assessments confidently and respond effectively to acute pain management needs or adverse reactions.
- Strong communication skills for patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Pay: $ $45.00 per hour
