Position Summary

The Production Planner is responsible for the development, implementation, analysis, and coordination of the schedule for the production lines.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of production schedulers responsible for creating weekly, and monthly master production schedules
  • Track production progress, identify bottlenecks, and adjust schedules to address delays or equipment issues.
  • Analyze sales forecasts and customer demand to ensure adequate production capacity levels.
  • Develop and communicate daily production plans to all departments and keep staff informed of any changes or updates as needed.
  • Participates in and supports efforts for improvements to plant efficiency and labor management.
  • Provide reporting and data to all levels of the organization.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in production planning/scheduling within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experienced with capacity planning.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data and identify trends for effective planning.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

Behavioral Skills

  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across departments.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in ERP Systems. NetSuite experience strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office including advanced skills in Excel.
  • Lean Six Sigma experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work within both an office setting and a production environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
  • Ability to move throughout the facility.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90, $120,000.00 per year
