Position Summary
The Production Planner is responsible for the development, implementation, analysis, and coordination of the schedule for the production lines.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of production schedulers responsible for creating weekly, and monthly master production schedules
- Track production progress, identify bottlenecks, and adjust schedules to address delays or equipment issues.
- Analyze sales forecasts and customer demand to ensure adequate production capacity levels.
- Develop and communicate daily production plans to all departments and keep staff informed of any changes or updates as needed.
- Participates in and supports efforts for improvements to plant efficiency and labor management.
- Provide reporting and data to all levels of the organization.
Experience & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in production planning/scheduling within a manufacturing environment.
- Experienced with capacity planning.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data and identify trends for effective planning.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
Behavioral Skills
- Excellent problem solving skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate across departments.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in ERP Systems. NetSuite experience strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office including advanced skills in Excel.
- Lean Six Sigma experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work within both an office setting and a production environment.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
- Ability to move throughout the facility.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90, $120,000.00 per year
