Driver Responsibilities

As a Company Driver at Freight Here, you will:

• Operate assigned day cab or sleeper cab power units on local and regional routes
• Haul primarily power-only freight through Amazon Relay
• Be familiar with Amazon Relay procedures and operate in and out of rail yards
• Maintain Monday–Saturday availability (day and night shifts available)
• Overnight runs are expected as part of normal operations
• Complete all pick-ups and deliveries on time and communicate proactively if delays or issues arise
• Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections; report maintenance or safety concerns immediately
• Comply with all DOT/FMCSA regulations, company policies, and safety procedures
• Maintain accurate ELD logs and hours-of-service compliance
• Represent Freight Here professionally at customer sites, yards, terminals, and rail facilities
• Work closely with dispatch on route planning and load execution
• Participate in company performance goals such as safety standards

Driver Requirements

Qualified candidates must meet the following:

• Valid Class A CDL (minimum 1 year of CDL experience required)
• Familiarity with Amazon Relay and rail yard operations strongly preferred
• Clean driving record (reasonable violations considered; serious infractions may disqualify)
• Ability to pass DOT physical, drug & alcohol screening, background check, and ongoing compliance monitoring.
• Comfortable with overnight runs and flexible scheduling.
• Reliable, self-motivated, team-oriented, and able to communicate effectively.
• Willingness to follow company safety policies, inspection protocols, and performance standards.
• Comfortable using mobile apps and onboard systems for dispatch and logging.
