As the Business Analyst - Operations, you will serve as a critical liaison between business and technical teams, ensuring that stakeholder needs are accurately captured, translated into actionable technical requirements, and delivered through effective solutions. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and proficiency in Microsoft 365 technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Interview and collaborate with geo-dispersed stakeholders to gather and validate business requirements.
- Coordinate with all project stakeholders, including business and technical teams, to ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements Analysis & Documentation:
- Translate functional/business requirements into detailed technical specifications.
- Conduct GAP analysis and document current and future state processes.
- Develop artifacts such as functional and technical requirements, requirement traceability matrix, data diagrams, UI/UX mockups, feature mapping, and UAT test cases.
Process Design & Modeling:
- Design business process workflows using BPMN/UML standards in Visio or similar tools.
Data Management & Migration:
- Clean and migrate legacy application data to Microsoft 365 environments.
- Ensure compliance with information management and data sensitivity policies.
Solution Development & Configuration:
- Customize and configure low/no-code solutions using PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI, and SharePoint lists.
- Build dashboards and reports in Power BI for business insights.
Testing & Support:
- Assist stakeholders with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and other project activities.
- Provide Tier 2 support for deployed products and troubleshoot issues.
Training & Change Management:
- Train trainers and end-users on application deployments and updates
- Assist stakeholders in the change request process, including documentation.
Continuous Learning:
- Stay open and keen to learn emerging technologies relevant to digital workplace solutions.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience in business system analysis within enterprise software projects.
- Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 apps, not limited to SharePoint Online, Power BI, PowerApps, Power Automate.
- Experience with data migration and cleaning for M365 environments.
- Ability to design process workflows.
- Good understanding of information management and data sensitivity policies.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid methodologies.
- Occasional travel is required.
