Paralegal (3 yrs. plus exp. required)

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of various areas of law, including but not limited to criminal law, family law, immigration law, personal injury, and tax law. This role requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple projects, and a commitment to providing exceptional support in a fast-paced legal environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis using LexisNexis and
• Assist attorneys with case preparation, including drafting legal documents, contracts, and correspondence.
• Manage case files and ensure all documentation is organized and up-to-date within document management systems.
• Perform document review and proofreading to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
• Provide executive administrative support, including data entry, filing, and clerical duties as needed.
• Interview clients and witnesses to gather pertinent information for cases.
• Support litigation efforts by preparing trial binders and exhibits, as well as coordinating with court personnel.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information while adhering to ethical standards in all interactions.
• Collaborate with attorneys on various projects related to immigration law, criminal law, tax law, and family law.

Qualifications

• Proven paralegal experience in a law office setting is required; familiarity with legal case management is preferred.
• Strong writing skills with experience in legal drafting and transcription.
• Proficiency in using software such as CLIO for document management.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy environment.
• Strong research skills with attention to detail for accuracy in legal documentation.
• Effective phone etiquette and interpersonal communication skills for client interaction.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
• Familiarity with project management principles is an asset; experience in administrative roles is highly regarded.
