Press - Blanking Operator

Summary:
Under the direct supervision of the production supervisor(s), the responsibilities of the Press Operator are to manufacture thermoplastic composite parts utilizing supplied equipment, supplies and work instructions while following company policies and procedures as defined.

• Job Responsibilities:

Production (75%-80%)
1. Load and insert product into various machines and run the machine
2. Unload product and visually inspect
3. Maintain cycle times to meet/exceed minimum rates
4. Keep equipment and work area clean
5. Support company requirements for overtime
6. Identification of waste concerning, material, supplies and time
7. Follow Production Supervisor directions and assignments
8. May be cross trained in other departments as needed. Follow all specifications and work
instructions of the position being filled
9. Assist in the training of newly hired personnel

• System Requirements (10%-20%)

• Proper clocking in and out of ERP system

• Proper clocking on and off assigned work order
• Proper issuing of materials

• Perform work according to established work instructions

• Housekeeping (5%-10%)

• Clean as you work throughout the shift

• Refill all supplies and tools as needed and at the end of every shift
• Complete all assigned tasks on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis

• Know and use FOD prevention "Best Practices" in assigned area

• Education/Experience:

High School diploma or GED
0 – 2 years of Aerospace Manufacturing or other Manufacturing experience
0 – 2 years of ERP or other Manufacturing Management Software Experience

• Mathematical equations to include: Basic math, fractions, measurement and conversions, percentages and ratios and word problems

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $25.00 per hour
