Duties

• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately to process sales transactions quickly and efficiently
• Greet customers warmly, providing friendly and professional service at all times
• Handle cash, credit/debit card payments, and perform cash handling responsibilities with precision
• Assist customers with product inquiries, upselling opportunities, and product demos to enhance their shopping experience
• Maintain store merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented
• Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
• Support inventory management through stocking and merchandising tasks, ensuring the sales floor is inviting and organized

Skills

• Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures
• Previous supervising or leadership experience in retail or grocery store environments is a plus
• Strong communication skills in both bilingual settings (if applicable) and in general customer interactions
• Ability to perform basic math accurately for transactions and retail math calculations
• Knowledge of grocery store operations, including stocking, merchandising, and product demos
• Exceptional customer service skills with a positive attitude and patience
• Upselling techniques to promote products effectively and increase sales volume
• Familiarity with phone etiquette for professional communication with customers and team members
