Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Line Cook to join our team at MacArthur Park in Palo Alto, CA. Located in a vibrant city, this role is vital in delivering high-quality food and exceptional service that reflect our commitment to excellence and innovation in the hospitality industry. Pay is $20/hr plus tips. We offer employee health insurance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
• Assist in menu planning and food presentation to enhance guest satisfaction.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the kitchen.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Follow food safety guidelines diligently.
• Support catering events with timely food preparation.
• Contribute to a positive team environment focused on guest experience.
• Manage inventory and stock levels efficiently.

Qualifications

• Proven cooking experience.
• Strong culinary skills with a focus on American/Mediterranean/Asian cuisine.
• Experience in fine dining settings preferred.
• Excellent knife skills and food handling techniques.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations.
• Passion for culinary arts and customer service.
• Team-oriented mindset with good communication skills.
• This is a tip-eligible position in a restaurant with high volume of large events
