We are looking for a dependable Forklift Operator to join our Washington, D.C. warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our facility. Your duties will include loading and unloading trucks, moving inventory to and from storage locations, and ensuring all operations comply with strict Safety standards. A valid forklift certification and experience are required. This is a key position within our logistics operations, and we are committed to maintaining a secure workplace, providing necessary PPE. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to move, stack, and transport materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trailers accurately and efficiently.
- Perform daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and locations.
- Adhere to all Safety protocols, regulations, and guidelines.
- Ensure proper use of all required PPE.
- Practice safe Lifting techniques when handling items manually.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free from obstructions.
- Collaborate with other warehouse personnel to ensure smooth logistics flow.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
- Certified Forklift Operator with verifiable experience.
- Proven ability to operate various types of forklifts safely.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including moderate Lifting.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
- Team-oriented and able to communicate effectively.
- Commitment to wearing all designated PPE.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
