Job Description: Responsibilities:
Pay Range $99.22hr - $103.22
Release Governance and Planning: Define and own the release management framework, including deployment calendar, release cadence, quality gates, and approval workflows. Establish and enforce release governance processes, ensuring all code and configuration changes are reviewed, tested, and approved prior to deployment. Coordinate with delivery leads, solution architects, and functional consultants to align release schedules with project milestones and business readiness. Manage cutover planning, go-live execution, and post-release validation activities. Serve as the single point of accountability for all releases across multiple environments and systems. DevOps and Automation:
Design, build, and manage AWS DevOps pipelines for monetization business applications and integrations. Implement CI/CD automation for build, package, deploy, and regression testing across environments. Govern branching, merging, and build strategies in AWS-based repositories or Git-based source control systems. Collaborate with development teams to define automated testing and quality validation processes. Maintain deployment scripts, tools, and templates to accelerate and standardize releases. Environment and Infrastructure Management:
Oversee all environments including Development, SIT, UAT, Pre-Prod, and Production, ensuring consistency and version alignment. Manage environment refreshes, data masking, configuration migration, and database backups in collaboration with infrastructure and engineering teams. Coordinate with AWS Infrastructure teams to manage resource provisioning, scaling, and monitoring for AWS-based data and web applications. Ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness using AWS resilience strategies and AWS Well-Architected Framework principles. Collaborate with the Studio Infrastructure Group to maintain company-wide cloud engineering standards. Technical Leadership and Collaboration:
Partner with Solution and Technical Architects to define and implement DevSecOps best practices. ct as the technical authority for release and deployment decisions while balancing speed, quality, and control. Collaborate with AWS service teams, Snowflake vendors, managed services, and system integrator partners to resolve release issues. Provide mentoring, knowledge transfer, and upskilling for internal DevOps and support teams. Quality, Security, and Compliance:
Ensure releases comply with internal IT governance, SOX, GDPR, and change management controls. Implement automated compliance validation and reporting within AWS DevOps pipelines. Maintain complete audit trails and release documentation for traceability and operational assurance. Define rollback and contingency strategies for high-risk releases. Continuous Improvement:
Monitor deployment metrics such as frequency, lead time, and failure xx, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Evaluate new AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes features and propose enhancements to existing toolchains. Champion a culture of automation, reliability, and transparency in delivery practices. Must-Have Skills / Requirements:
Python experience with 10+ years of hands-on expertise. Kubernetes experience with 5+ years of hands-on usage. Terraform experience with 5+ years, including Docker or Ansible for deployment automation. Client or Datadog experience with 3+ years of hands-on monitoring expertise. Nice-to-Have Skills / Preferred Requirements:
WS certifications such as Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, Developer, or CloudOps. Experience with MLOps. Experience with Managed Streaming for Kafka. Experience deploying machine learning models using AWS SageMaker. Experience integrating with AWS Lambda and CloudWatch. Soft Skills:
Proven experience managing end-to-end release cycles for enterprise-scale or global deployments. Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills across global teams and vendors. Technology Requirements:
Strong Python development experience. Strong Kubernetes administration and deployment experience. Terraform expertise with Docker or Ansible integration. Client or Datadog monitoring experience. Deep hands-on expertise with AWS DevOps tools including Pipelines, Repos, Artifacts, and Boards. Experience with Java and JavaScript build tools such as Maven and NPM. Strong experience writing build and deployment scripts integrated with AWS services. WS infrastructure administration experience including networking, security, scaling, and monitoring. Experience interfacing with MySQL and Snowflake, including scripting for data movement and maintenance. Strong scripting skills for deployment processes, data pipelines, and server management. Strong experience using and integrating Git-based workflows. Experience managing backups and multi-region disaster recovery strategies. Strong understanding of ITIL change management, DevSecOps principles, and release governance frameworks.
