Join our dedicated logistics team as a Shipping & Receiving Associate in San Antonio, Texas! We are looking for an organized and reliable individual to manage the flow of goods in and out of our facility. This role is fundamental to our supply chain operations, ensuring that all inbound shipments are accurately received, inspected, and put away, and that outbound shipments are processed efficiently and correctly. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, operating warehouse equipment, and collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless operations. A strong commitment to safety, including the use of proper PPE and adherence to lifting guidelines, is paramount. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming freight against purchase orders.
- Inspect shipments for damage or discrepancies and document any issues.
- Properly store received goods in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing orders for shipment according to specifications.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using our Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Conduct regular inventory cycle counts and assist with physical inventories.
- Ensure the dock areas are clean, organized, and safe at all times.
- Coordinate with carriers and truck drivers for inbound and outbound logistics.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including mandatory use of PPE.
- Follow safe lifting practices to prevent injuries.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or general warehouse operations.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other powered industrial trucks is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of WMS and RF scanning technology.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and work in a physically demanding environment for extended periods.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to PPE requirements.
