We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Material Handler to join our team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This role is essential for the efficient movement and organization of materials within our warehouse. You will be responsible for handling a variety of tasks, including loading, unloading, stocking, and preparing goods for shipment. Your contribution will directly impact the smooth flow of our logistics operations. We prioritize a safe working environment and encourage teamwork among our staff.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and other vehicles.
- Transport materials to and from storage areas or production lines.
- Stock shelves and racks with incoming inventory.
- Pick and pack orders accurately according to specifications.
- Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other manual material handling equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Inspect materials for damage and report any issues.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts.
- Must be able to perform lifting of up to 50 lbs regularly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred.
- Ability to operate basic warehouse equipment.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling materials.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
