Our Oklahoma City, Oklahoma logistics center is seeking a dedicated Receiving Clerk to join our team! This essential role involves managing the inflow of goods into our warehouse. You will be responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and logging incoming shipments, verifying counts against purchase orders, and ensuring materials are properly staged for put-away. A strong focus on accuracy, organization, and safety is paramount. Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments, unload trucks, and verify contents against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies, documenting any issues.
- Accurately enter receiving data into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Tag and label incoming inventory for proper identification and tracking.
- Stage received goods in designated areas for put-away by other warehouse personnel.
- Maintain organized and clean receiving areas.
- Assist with inventory reconciliation and cycle counts as needed.
- Operate pallet jacks and other receiving equipment safely.
- Adhere to all company logistics policies and safety procedures, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments regarding shipments.
- Previous experience in a warehouse receiving, shipping, or logistics role is preferred.
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or inventory software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and counting.
- Ability to perform lifting tasks, up to 40 lbs.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics processes.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills.
