Responsibilities:
- Unload and load materials from trucks and other vehicles.
- Transport materials to and from storage areas, production areas, or loading docks.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Identify and report damaged materials or any discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, particularly those related to safety and PPE.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Perform regular checks on equipment to ensure it is in good working order.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals and targets.
- Contribute to the overall success of the warehouse logistics operations.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is preferred but not required.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including significant lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and tools.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Commitment to a safe working environment.
- Basic understanding of logistics principles.
