Our Salt Lake City, Utah, warehouse is seeking diligent Picker/Packers to contribute to our efficient order fulfillment process. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving products from inventory and preparing them for shipment to our valued customers. This role is crucial for maintaining customer satisfaction and ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics chain. Key duties include using RF scanners to locate and pick items, verifying order accuracy, packing items securely, and preparing shipments. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and able to work efficiently in a dynamic warehouse environment. We prioritize the safety of our employees; therefore, strict adherence to all safety regulations and the consistent use of personal protective equipment (PPE) are required. This position requires significant physical exertion, including prolonged standing, walking, bending, and frequent lifting of items up to 50 lbs. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from various warehouse locations according to customer orders.
- Employ RF scanning technology to ensure inventory accuracy and track picked items.
- Pack selected items carefully into appropriate shipping containers, ensuring product integrity.
- Double-check order details against picked and packed items.
- Apply correct labels and prepare packages for dispatch.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe workspace.
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks, safely and efficiently.
- Follow all established safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times.
- Report any inventory inaccuracies or damages to supervisors promptly.
- Meet performance metrics related to picking and packing speed and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order fulfillment setting is a plus.
- Proficiency in using RF scanners and other warehouse technology.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Physical capability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift.
- Must be able to perform frequent lifting of items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the mandatory use of PPE.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
