We are hiring an organized and efficient Shipping Clerk for our Jacksonville, Florida distribution center. In this vital role within our logistics operations, you will be responsible for processing, preparing, and coordinating the timely shipment of products. Your duties will include verifying orders, accurately labeling packages, selecting appropriate shipping carriers, and maintaining detailed shipping records. The ideal candidate will have exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. A background in logistics or experience with shipping procedures is highly advantageous. Our commitment to safety means all team members must rigorously follow safety regulations and wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). While primarily a clerical role, some lifting of packages may be required, along with the ability to stand for extended periods. Responsibilities:
- Process and prepare all outgoing shipments accurately.
- Create shipping labels and ensure packages are correctly addressed and sealed.
- Schedule pickups with various shipping carriers.
- Verify order details against shipping manifests.
- Maintain accurate shipping logs and inventory data.
- Ensure adherence to all shipping regulations and company policies.
- Follow all safety guidelines, including proper lifting and the consistent use of PPE.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency with computers and shipping software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Prior experience in logistics or shipping operations is a plus.
- Dedication to safety standards and proper PPE usage.
