We are seeking a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to join our **Logistics** team in San Jose, California. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and documenting all shipments. Your meticulous attention to detail and commitment to **Safety** are paramount in ensuring the integrity of our inventory and the efficiency of our supply chain. This position requires a proactive approach to managing incoming **Logistics** and maintaining organized receiving areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming materials from vendors and carriers.
- Inspect shipments for damage, discrepancies, and compliance with purchase orders.
- Accurately record received goods into the inventory management system.
- Tag and label inventory appropriately for storage.
- Communicate any receiving issues or discrepancies to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and **Safety**-compliant receiving area.
- Operate pallet jacks and other basic warehouse equipment.
- Ensure proper handling and **Lifting** of materials to prevent damage.
- Adhere to all **Safety** protocols and wear required **PPE**.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Receiving Clerk or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including **Lifting** up to 40 lbs.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of **Logistics** principles related to receiving.
- Commitment to workplace **Safety** and adherence to **PPE** requirements.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
