Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and organized Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team in Los Angeles, California. This critical role ensures the accuracy, integrity, and availability of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for monitoring stock levels, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing procedures to maintain optimal inventory accuracy. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to maintaining a well-organized warehouse environment. This position offers a competitive hourly wage and the opportunity to be part of a growing supply chain operation. You will work closely with warehouse management, receiving, and shipping departments to ensure seamless operations. Experience with inventory management software is highly desirable. This role requires adherence to all safety protocols and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Be prepared for tasks involving lifting and moving inventory as needed. Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Monitor stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) and report on aging inventory.
  • Identify and report damaged or defective goods.
  • Assist in the implementation of inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure inventory accuracy across all stages of the supply chain.
  • Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory to maximize space utilization and accessibility.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
  • Participate in training sessions related to inventory management and safety protocols.
  • Be able to perform tasks that involve lifting and maneuvering inventory items up to 50 lbs.
  • Contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our logistics operations.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in inventory control or a related warehouse role preferred.
  • Proficiency in WMS or similar inventory tracking software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and the use of PPE.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks requiring lifting, standing, and walking for extended periods.
  • Understanding of logistics and supply chain operations.
