Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and organized Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team in New York City, New York. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. This includes conducting cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies, investigating stock adjustments, and implementing best practices for inventory management. You will work closely with receiving, shipping, and operations departments to ensure seamless flow of goods and accurate data tracking. Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail are essential for success in this position. The ideal candidate will have experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and a thorough understanding of inventory control procedures. You will also be instrumental in identifying areas for process improvement to enhance efficiency and reduce waste. Adherence to all safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is paramount. This role requires the ability to perform physical tasks, including regular lifting, and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment. Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS.
  • Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of new inventory management strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Identify and report on stock aging and potential obsolescence.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and the correct use of PPE.
  • Participate in regular safety training sessions and promote a culture of safety.
