Are you a skilled operator looking for a challenging role? We are hiring a Reach Truck Operator in our state-of-the-art facility in Indianapolis, Indiana. This position is vital for maintaining efficient warehouse operations and ensuring the safe and timely movement of inventory. As a Reach Truck Operator, you will be responsible for operating specialized equipment to store and retrieve goods at various heights. A strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols and efficient material handling is essential. Responsibilities:
- Operate a reach truck safely and efficiently to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise.
- Load and unload products from trucks and racking systems.
- Accurately pick and put away inventory within the warehouse.
- Perform routine checks on the reach truck to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all safety guidelines and regulations, including proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counting as required.
- Coordinate with other warehouse staff to ensure smooth workflow and efficient logistics.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating a reach truck in a warehouse environment.
- Valid certification for operating reach trucks is required.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory control.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to PPE requirements.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
