We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic team in Portland, Oregon. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of warehouse operations. You will be responsible for conducting cycle counts, reconciling inventory discrepancies, investigating stock adjustments, and ensuring that our inventory management system accurately reflects physical stock levels. Your work will directly impact order fulfillment efficiency, reduce stockouts, and minimize inventory loss. Regular Lifting of inventory items may be required. Experience with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) is highly preferred. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and potential issues.
- Implement and improve inventory control procedures.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure proper stock rotation and storage.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
- Train new team members on inventory control procedures.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives related to inventory management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in inventory control or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles.
- Proficiency in WMS and other inventory software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics is a plus.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE .
