Our dynamic logistics operation in Tampa, Florida is seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our team. The Shipping Clerk will be responsible for ensuring that all outgoing shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards and carrier requirements. This role is critical for maintaining customer satisfaction and ensuring the smooth flow of goods from our facility to their destinations. You will work closely with warehouse staff and carriers to coordinate the timely dispatch of orders. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and accurately document all outgoing shipments.
- Verify shipping information, including addresses, quantities, and special handling instructions.
- Generate shipping labels and any necessary customs documentation.
- Coordinate with freight carriers for timely pickup and delivery of shipments.
- Track shipments and provide updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure that all packages are properly packed and secured for transit, considering Lifting requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with other shipping and receiving duties as needed to support logistics operations.
- Conduct quality checks on outgoing orders to ensure accuracy before dispatch.
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar role is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in shipping software and basic computer skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of shipping procedures and carrier requirements.
- Familiarity with warehouse logistics and operations.
- Ability to handle tasks involving moderate Lifting.
- Understanding of safety best practices and the importance of PPE.
- Good communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
