We are seeking an experienced Reach Truck Operator for our bustling warehouse in Washington, D.C. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a reach truck to move, position, and retrieve inventory in high-density racking systems. Your efficiency and accuracy are critical to maintaining inventory levels and fulfilling orders promptly. The ideal candidate will possess a valid certification or proven experience operating reach trucks in a warehouse setting. You should be adept at navigating narrow aisles and maximizing vertical storage space. Safety is paramount, and you will be expected to adhere strictly to all operational procedures and safety guidelines to prevent accidents and damage to goods or equipment. This position requires a keen eye for detail, excellent hand-eye coordination, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate with other warehouse associates and supervisors to ensure smooth operations. Responsibilities include conducting daily pre-shift equipment inspections, reporting any mechanical issues promptly, and maintaining an organized work area. Physical stamina is necessary, including the ability to perform frequent Lifting of items up to 30 lbs.
