We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Order Picker to join our dynamic logistics team in Colorado Springs, Colorado. As an Order Picker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders. Your primary responsibilities will involve accurately picking items from warehouse shelves based on order specifications, using handheld scanners to track inventory, and preparing items for shipment. This position requires a high level of accuracy and efficiency to meet daily picking targets. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and committed to upholding our high standards of safety and operational excellence. You will work closely with other warehouse staff to maintain an organized and efficient workflow. Attention to detail is paramount to minimize errors and ensure customer satisfaction. We are committed to providing a safe working environment and will supply all necessary PPE. Strong communication skills are beneficial for coordinating with team members and supervisors. Experience with warehouse management systems is a plus. Opportunities for growth within our logistics company are available for dedicated employees. This role involves significant physical activity, including frequent bending, stooping, and reaching. Proper lifting techniques will be emphasized, and employees must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted. Adherence to all safety protocols is mandatory.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from designated warehouse locations according to order tickets.
- Utilize handheld scanners to record inventory movements and update order status.
- Inspect picked items for damage or discrepancies before packing.
- Stage picked orders for the packing and shipping departments.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring aisles are clear and shelves are tidy.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
- Participate in regular inventory counts and audits as required.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily picking goals and ensure smooth warehouse operations.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately to a supervisor.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
