Job Summary:
Are you detail-oriented and passionate about accuracy? We are looking for an Inventory Control Specialist to join our Sacramento, California team. This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity of our inventory and ensuring the smooth functioning of our logistics operations. As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing measures to prevent stockouts and overstocks. You will work closely with warehouse staff and management to optimize inventory levels and improve operational efficiency. A thorough understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) is essential. While this role is less physically demanding than some, occasional Lifting may be required, and adherence to Safety guidelines, including the use of PPE, is still expected. This is a key position within our logistics framework, ensuring we have the right products in the right place at the right time. Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure accuracy.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Implement and maintain inventory control procedures.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Coordinate with receiving, shipping, and warehouse teams.
  • Ensure proper stock rotation and storage of goods.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS.
  • Assist in developing and implementing strategies to reduce inventory loss.
  • Uphold Safety standards and ensure proper handling of materials, using required PPE.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
  • Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
  • Ability to occasionally perform Lifting tasks.
  • Commitment to following Safety procedures and using PPE.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
